the clouds drift above

the cool waters edge

nothing really matters

nothings in my head

for once i feel clear, happy, content

it doesn’t happen often

but i swear its heaven sent

i say for once

because it has been a long road

its been dusty you could say

and no one really knows

i connect deeply with these mountains

standing here for years

they have been through lifetimes

that we would only fear

the problems that we feel

are the mountains in our lives

as the sun peaks up

for the 37 millionth time

i feel great satisfaction that i got to catch this time

as the day greets me

i greet it back

a stretch

a smile

a pat on the back

im grateful for this life

the mountains that ive climbed

for there will ve more

but its gunna be easier this time

the worst has passed

and im grateful once again

for feeling

deeply

as im able to put so much to rest
